3 Reasons to Get Involved
- Leadership Skills – Knowing yourself as a leader and team member is one of the most valuable skills for college, careers, and life. Getting involved can put you in a position to be in charge of something big – you will surely learn something in the process.
- Trying Something New – College is an excellent time to try new things, join a club or do a thing you never thought you would do. Join the fencing club, go on an outdoor trip, study abroad, or join an interest group, you may be surprised by what you learn.
- Contributing to your Community – Getting involved in college gives you the opportunity to make a place better than you found it. Taking on a leadership role or simply sitting on a committee can put you in a position to not only influence your community but give to others.
