Artist Spotlight: Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2023

Congratulations to the Class of 2023 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees! 2023 brought us the 38th Annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony which included recognition of the four categories which now total 378 inductees from 1986 to today. To be eligible to be nominated as an inductee, artists are required to have released their first record 25 years prior to Induction. This was Missy Elliot’s first year of eligibility and she is going down in history as the first female rapper to be inducted! This music culture honor coincides with another milestone — the 50th anniversary of the birth of Hip-Hop.

Born from the collision of rhythm & blues, country, and gospel, rock & roll is a spirit that is inclusive and ever-changing and not defined by any one genre. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame celebrates the sound of youth culture and honors the artists whose music connects us all. View the full list of 2023’s inductees and information about their categories below.
