Artist Spotlight: Tiffany Day

Tiffany Day is a pop singer from Kansas who like many young artists, gained traction through posting to YouTube. Tiffany grew up loving music and instruments, but questioning and recognizing the lack of representation of her Asian culture in the media. Her dreams for mainstream fame seemed out of reach until a 48-second video if her singing “Hallelujah,” went viral on Twitter. Tiffany made a deal with her parents that she could move to L.A. to pursue her music career as long as she enrolled into university, which her college experience led to be the inspiration for her first two EP’s.

Her style is recognized as alternative, bedroom pop and comparable to artists like Benee and Kali Uchis. Tiffany has gone on to do many shows and has opened for multi-platinum artists such as Surfaces. After her first sold out show in L.A., Tiffany noted that it’s inspiring to be able to write music that inspires and impacts people. Tiffany acknowledges the learning experience she’s gained from playing multiple roles other than “artist,” as well as the numerous different things she’s experienced during different shows that is molding her into the industry.

Her music is all about discovery, experience and vulnerability which she notes to be one of the most rewarding attributes of her creation process within her career. Reflecting on her journey, Tiffany is more hopeful than she was as a kid, and is proud to represent her culture and be a part of its rise in the industry. She’s just getting started and we’ll be sticking around to see where she goes. In a 2021 Ones to Watch interview, Tiffany says “my chosen purpose in life is to help people and make them feel better. Even if it’s just one person – because one person’s life is huge.” That last sentence is everything.
