Alma Mater Productions (AMP) serves 7,500 students at William & Mary.
What is your AMP’s mission?
Alma Mater Productions (AMP), the primary campus-wide programming body at William & Mary, strives to provide diverse, high-quality entertainment in a safe, inclusive environment at a low cost to the college community. AMP serves as a resource for the programming, social, leadership and educational needs of all individuals that make up the student body.
What tools do you use internally to communicate and keep everyone on the same page?
We primarily utilize Groupme to get messages out quickly. If that doesn’t work we are pretty reliable on cell!
What kind of activities do you do as a board to promote team bonding?
We have made it a goal to have one bonding session per month so that we can support each other. This could include doing something in the community together, going to an AMP event with everyone, or going out to eat! We also have intramural teams and sometimes go to trivia nights as a group!
What is your largest event of the year?
Usually the Spring Concert or our Last Day of Classes Bash!
If your program board formed a band what genre would it perform under and what would it be called? Why?
We decided to we would be a cover band called tbd because you never know what you are going to get. We would fight, break up, then have a reunion concert. tbd is in lower case because we wanted to be “edgy.” Second runner-up was a Cake cover band called Icing….just because.
