It’s show day! What can you do to make sure things go well?
Be Organized. Have your day of show event plan check list ready for the show advance, schedule, hospitality, and volunteers and staffing.
Be Flexible. Best laid plans and all…. Anything can happen day of show that can derail your event plan. Be prepared to readjust where needed. Being able to problem solve and think on your feet is job responsibility #1 when putting on a successful show. And being flexible (and prepared for anything) will keep your stress level down.
Communication. Things run smoother if the right hand knows what the left hand is doing. Communication is key to a successful show day. The more event plan information you provide to your volunteers, performers, production teams. security and venue staff the easier the show will flow.
Self-Care. Take care of you. Eat, stay hydrated, get plenty of rest, and delegate, delegate, delegate!
