Program Board, Position: Student Centers Programming Advisory Board (SCPAB), President
Degree(s) graduating with: Bachelors of Arts in Communication
Years on Program Board: 4
Favorite Program Board event: Senior Fling!
Favorite Program Board memory: When I learned that the Senior Fling I programmed in 2018 was the most attended event in UD history with over 10,000 people in attendance.
Why did you decide to join your program board? I knew I was interested in the entertainment business and I also wanted to be a part of something bigger on my campus and SCPAB was a perfect mix of the two. I was able to become apart of a community that brought joy to thousands of students while also getting experience in my interested field.
One piece of advice for incoming student leaders: Don’t lose sight of your passion! You will want to get caught up in all the work and may notice that you’re getting dragged down but don’t let it become a burden. Take time to refocus yourself on the reason why you chose to be a leader.
Post-Grad Plans: Law school to study entertainment law! (Unless an entertainment agency wants to hire me now wink wink nudge nudge)
Which song reminds you of the past year? Why? Beautiful Day by U2. It was definitely a tough year with law school applications, reduced budgets in SCPAB, and managing my responsibilities with my academics, but everyday I was able to find something to be grateful about. Whether it was being a Teacher’s Assistant in London, being Executive Producer of a Tedx talk, or getting a full ride to one of my top law schools, there were so many beautiful things to appreciate this past year.
