Senior Music Director, Activities Programming Board

Favorite Program Board Memory: My favorite memory was our Spring Concert in 2015 with Walk the Moon. Seeing all of the months of hard work finally pay off and become one of the biggest events in our organization’s history was an incredible moment for all of us. It was also the event that made me realize I wanted to pursue a career in event planning.

One Piece of Advice for Incoming Student Leaders: Work hard, but don’t forget to have fun with what you’re doing! Being a part of a programming board is a unique experience that not many people get to do. Just because you are a part of the team that plans the events doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy them too 🙂

Post-Grad Plans: I’ll be sticking around after graduation to finish out my internship doing event planning with the San Francisco Giants! After that, I will continue working in the event planning industry in the Bay Area.

The Song that Reminds Marisa of this Past Year: “Love is Alive” by Louis the Child. It’s been my go to, feel good song since it was released, but I feel that it also encompasses the dynamic of the APB team this year. I just can’t help but smile and be happy every time I’m with them (as when I listen to this song), despite whatever else may be going on in my life. They’ve truly created a space where love is alive and where we can all feel accepted and supported.
