Women’s HERstory Month: International Women’s Day Team Tribute

In honor of International Women’s Day (yesterday) we are highlighting our powerful team of Women!

What woman in your life inspires you, and why?

Melissa Boyle Aronson | Owner – Every girl and young woman I see out there standing up for themselves and others – holding signs, being vocal and showing up. Their courage inspires me everyday!

Kaitlyn Carr | Talent Buyer – My mother inspires me. Growing up, I knew of the challenges she faced, but as an adult and navigating through challenges of my own, I understand more and more each day, how strong she was and is. In 2024 when she was diagnosed with breast cancer, I was able to be strong because she was strong. That is worth all of the inspiration.

As a woman in a leadership position, what advice do you have for any students or peers that identify as or are seeking to be a woman in leadership?

Melissa Boyle Aronson | Owner – Be you and be bold. Don’t let anyone diminish your voice.

Kaitlyn Carr | Talent Buyer – Your femininity is a super power. We get to have all of the fun when one thinks they know what we are capable of just by looking at us – that’s when we show them just how strong we are and just how much we can do.

Kaitlin Griffith | Operations Coordinator – Don’t shy away from opportunities just because you might be the only woman in the room! Remind yourself that you belong and your voice needs to be heard.

Favorite Quotes that contribute to your female experience?

“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.” -John Quincy Adams

Kaitlin Griffith | Operations Coordinator – I keep this quote close as a reminder that you don’t need to be in a formal leadership role to be a leader to others. It was especially impactful for me as a young professional, seeing predominately male leaders around me, that I could lead even though I did not have an influential title. Making that effort early on in my career helped put me in positions where I was seen as someone who could lead and eventually put into formal leadership roles.

“There is a gift, even in the madness” -Jhenè Aiko

Kaitlyn Carr | Talent Buyer –  This quote comes from the song Calm & Patient, by Jhenè Aiko.  The whole song is honestly a message that contributes to my experience. She has faced and shared some of her greatest personal challenges in the face of the public and does not shy away from the fact that she is also human and feels what comes with those challenges. She sheds light through acknowledging that there is only better to come and to accept that even the crazy parts of life hold something nice. This is a message I have witnessed and continuously apply in my own life and I do remind myself of it daily. You’ll notice this quote has lived in my email signature. It really does help me re-focus when I most need to be grateful for all of the challenges I face because it means I am working towards something great and worthy of effort.
